The Festetics-family had modern vinicultural and grape processing traditions. On the Vonyarc estate – uncharacteristically in the era – the planting of vine took place deliberately in a selective way and by vineyards, and every step of the production was documented for decades back.

As a tribute to the Festetics-family, in 2013 we planted 10 different naturalized cultivars and we train them on the western terrace of the Taverna. The planted cultivars represent the variegation of cultivars in the region.

For every vine-stock there is an information table with a QR-code, by which our visitors – with the use of their smart phone – can get more information about the given cultivar.
