During the renovation of the Taverna building we aimed to minimize environmental stress and rely on the extensive use of renewable energy. The result is a group of buildings equipped with innovative mechanical engineering solutions which are unique in Hungary.

In addition to the thermal insulation installed during the renovation, the heating of the cellar is provided by two renovated historical, wood burning tile stoves and the electric power is supplied by a 2 kVA solar power system.

Along with the low running costs of the cellar, all the other premises show excellent figures in terms of energy efficiency: domestic hot water is supplied by 30 solar collector units, while the heating and cooling system is powered by a 138 kW heat pump. The bicycle generators powered by our playful guests also contribute to the electric power supply of the premises.
